Licensee Guidelines



An introduction to the DTS graphic standards and logo usage guidelines may be found in the Corporate Identity Basics Guide. This guide is intended to add detail appropriate to DTS Licensees.

Equipment, Manuals and Brochures

The DTS logo, combined with appropriate identifier lines must be applied as shown on appropriately licensed DTS® technologies. Isolation, proportion and color standards must be followed exactly as shown. If you have a color match question or problem, please contact DTS Marketing at marketing@dts.com for assistance.

Advertising

The color logo should be used whenever possible to ensure maximum recognition.

Movies and Music

For movies and music featuring DTS technology, the appropriate DTS logo should be featured on the audio select menu screen, the disc artwork and the back of the packaging. For more detailed information, please refer to the Logo Usage Guidelines for Content Developers.

Software and Other Content

The logo usage license is free, but registration is required. Content Registration can be made online at http://dts.com/contentregistration. If you experience any problems please email registration@dts.com.

Video Games

A color version of the appropriate DTS logo (Symbol + DTS wordmark + Identifier line) should appear prominently on the packaging to ensure consumers recognize the presence of the DTS soundtrack. The black and white version of the appropriate DTS logo is also acceptable.

Web Use

The corporate logo (Symbol + DTS wordmark + Identifier line) may be used on a web page subject to the following conditions:

Prior permission granted in writing by DTS Marketing. The logo must be used in approved colors at a size and resolution which is clearly legible and not distorted. Clicking on the DTS logo must activate a one-way hyperlink to http://www.dts.com. Reciprocal links are negotiable.

In order to clarify that the use of the DTS logo does not imply any endorsement by DTS, a disclaimer must be used and appear on the same page as the DTS logo, such as: "To visit the official DTS website, click here."

DTS must be given access to any and all pages on the site where a DTS logo appears.
